The Women's Prayer Summit

Our History

The Women’s Prayer Summits of October 1997 and 1998 gathered thousands of women to pray “with one heart and one voice” at what is formerly known as Theatre at Madison Square Garden. Initiated by Janet Broling and a team of pastor’s wives from the New York metro area, these gatherings were so significant and powerful that years later a third Women’s Prayer Summit was held on October 30, 2010, at the Armory, Fort Washington Ave., NY. It was another amazing experience which was not easily forgotten, so much so that ten years later, women were still asking, “When are you going to do it again?”

In response, the WPS committee was called upon to convene a fourth Women’s Prayer Summit gathering in the heart of NYCThe word got out and the response has been overwhelming, so the committee is focusing on the prayer needs for the women of our cities and the nations now.

Our Beliefs

Our intentions are simple. We believe that prayer and unity create a powerful combination of change and transformation, starting with the body of Christ and extending to those around us who are so desperately in need of Him. You can support this initiative by inviting women from your church, your ministry, and your region to save the date for this extraordinary virtual event on October 3.

If not now, then when. If not us, then who.
